I am a English student at Falmouth University, I have started to focus on the body and how it changes, even metamorphosis into something due to a conflict or a trauma against the character's self. I have started to explore how the change of self also is created from the reader and the context of the time.
The Nabokov Project allowed me to look at how the reader or audience of Emma changes the body of Emma through the texts, the adaptations, images and their own unique interpretation. The unique interpretations and the texts that the audience may or may not engage with create a blurring in its own accord, even when Nabokov believes that the text creates distinct features that cannot be blurred.
